people......the most comfortable word in the history of English that helps us all to abscond, also to get trapped is-----"LIE"
i have always wondered how such consummate and glib liars exist.
Now....how does the THIRD EYE define LIE.
'a lie is a LIP work that arises out of a situation'
u may ask what a situation is???
e.g. a person may want to take his girl friend out for a date. He is well prepared then.
But his boss calls him for an urgent meeting. What will the poor chap do???
he has got two options!!!
1-lie to the boss
2-upset his girl friend
n still u may wonder what the situation is!!!
The situation is what he frames in his mind.
1-if he assumes the situation of telling a lie to the boss and going out.....he does so.
2-if he assumes a situation of not telling a lie to his boss....but sits in the meeting.
Out of the two situations, that which convinces him more, forces him to do so.
Ultimately, a lie is not at all under your control, but the situation your in!!!
Our basic senses give us two options!!!!!
As u know, people prefer to go rather by choice n not by force!!!!
And in this particular situation everybody could understand the poor chap’s choice.
Hmm……therefore a lie is something that depends on the situation and nobody is responsible.
So u got it, no situation is under your control!!!!! that leads to -NO lie is under your control.
So do not feel guilty.
But ur a genius if u hav the situation under ur control ALWAYS!!!.
But the third eye suggests not to be a chronic liar!!!!
The guy shud not have fixed the date in the first place....if he knew the boss was working on that day, he shud have been prepared for the call....so the opportunity that causes us to lie is first created by us and then it transforms into a situation whr we actually lie!
ReplyDeletewhat u say is exactly correct!!!but, unfortunately it is not a workin day for him. he fixed his date because he was free. hey, come on his boss works on sunday also......n he can't expect his calls not making ne plans for himself.everything is unpredictable.
ReplyDeleteLet me add two more dimensions to the word "LIE". That is, "not saying the Truth" and "hiding the truth/facts". The above two are often a lot more easier to live with as compared to actually lying and live in fear of getting caught.
ReplyDeleteTherefore its pertinent that "THIRD EYE" drills a lil deeper in the subject "LIE" and give his avid readers more insight as most of us in our daily lives are Consummate liers either directly or indirectly.

Exactly! Thats what I mean...the situation is not created by him....it exists alone...He has no choice but to lie to either one of the parties...

Its more appropriate to say that, how consummate the lie will be, is what, will get him out of the "situation" as u term it
